Nerissa Prieto, MD

Owner/Medical Director

Dr. Nerissa Prieto, M.D. is a board-certified anesthesiologist with specialty training in Intensive Care Medicine.

  • She completed medical school, surgical internship and anesthesiology residency at Rutgers (formerly Robert Wood Johnson Medical School). In 2007, she completed ICU fellowship at Stanford, where she was the 113th graduate of that program since its founding more than 50 years ago.

    She also holds an M.S. degree from UCLA with emphasis in cellular physiology and neuroscience. Her B.A. in Psychobiology was earned at Wellesley College in Massachusetts, a top-ranked liberal arts college where she had the privilege of contributing to research projects in neuroscience, psychiatry, and the molecular biology of neurologic disease at MIT and Harvard.

    She is a published author in anesthesia journals, and she conducted award-winning research as a fellow at Stanford. Her findings were presented at a national conference in 2007, and that publication continues to be referenced by other authors as seminal research in the treatment of alcohol withdrawal in the ICU. She has also authored a book chapter on the surgical management of skin and soft-tissue cancers.

    Dr. Prieto has been a contributor to the health and well-being of the Chico community since 2007, when she chose to move here from the Bay Area rather than returning to her home on the East Coast. She has been an anesthesiologist attending to trauma, OB, and elective surgical patients, and continues to maintain privileges at multiple surgical centers in town. She has cared for thousands of Chicoans in their time of need. Her current clinical interests lie in regional pain management and ketamine infusion therapy.

    Having been inspired by her experience at Stanford where certain alternative therapies were welcomed into the everyday care of critically ill patients, Dr. Prieto has spent years in search of something practical, concrete and effective to offer patients outside of the operating room and ICU environments to enhance the care provided to them by their medical doctors.

    She has experienced first hand the benefits of IV micronutrient supplementation in her patients, and is excited to bring her decades of hospital experience to the community for general wellness, and as an adjunct to traditional treatments for chronic disease. By founding Privvy Modern Health and Privilege Medical, Inc., Dr. Prieto looks forward to helping people thrive, regardless of age or health status.

Jennifer LaBadie

Comptroller and Financial Conscience

Jennifer LaBadie is a Bookkeeper and Financial Controller with broad experience in business operations, tax/cost accounting, human resources, small business start-up, and process development.

  • She is passionate about finding ways to save companies time and money-taking time to learn about new tax credits, tax advantaged plans, grants and deductions. She currently works for multiple clients in the Chico community. She serves as Vice President on the Board of Directors for the nonprofit organization, E-Center, in Marysville California. She has served on the Board for over 11 years.

    Jen grew up in Chico California, attending Sierra View Elementary, Bidwell Junior High and then Pleasant Valley High. She lived independently after high school working almost full time at customer service jobs while attending college. She graduated with honors from Chico State University, Cum Laude, with a B.S. in Business Administration with a focus on Productions and Operations Management.

As the Nurse Manager at our aesthetics clinic, Julie is dedicated to providing top-notch patient care by leading our team with compassion.

With a focus on excellence and a patient-centered approach, we are proud to have her be part of a team that helps our clients look and feel their best.

Amber Schneider, RN, BSN

Certified Laser Nurse

Amber is our Registered Nurse with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Nursing from California State University, Chico. Born in Southern California, she has lived in Northern California for thirty years.

  • She has worked at Enloe for twenty years; eighteen years as a critical care cluster nurse and currently works caring for employees at Enloe Health. She started doing laser aesthetic treatments nearly twenty years ago. Amber earned her Certified Laser Professional Certificate through the state of California and has been using the Cutera Laser Platform for almost two decades. She is also skilled in chemical peels and knowledgeable in skin care products and their application. Amber enjoys improving patients' confidence and enhancing their knowledge of self-care while she connects with them on a more personal level. Helping her patients feel more comfortable in their skin is extremely satisfying and can be life-changing for them. When she is not working, she enjoys traveling with her husband and being a mom to their teenager and three adult children and their spouses.

Katie Stentzel, RN

Nurse Injector and Laser Nurse

Katie has over three years of experience as an aesthetic nurse injector and was trained by the esteemed Julie Bass Kaplan, whom she shadowed for over a year.

  • She has participated in several advanced practice workshops as both a student and a teacher and is ultrasound certified. Additionally, she has experience working with a wide range of aesthetic equipment, lasers and procedures including Sciton, Picosure, Picosure Focus, BBL, Halo, Pixel 8, Morpheus 8, Sylfirm, Thermage, Cutera (IPl), Laser Genesis, YAG laser, CO2 lasers, Restylane dermal fillers, Allergan dermal fillers, RHA dermal fillers, Dysport, Botox, Xeomin, Daxxify, Sculptra, Radiesse, and PDO threads.

    We love her dedication to her patients and her creative eye and interest in marketing. She enjoys spending time with her children and also works as a PACU nurse.

Bridget Crosby, RN

IV Nutritional Therapy Nurse

Bridget is a dedicated registered nurse with a rich and diverse background in healthcare and a deep commitment to her faith and family.

  • Since earning her nursing degree in 2006, Bridget has built a robust career across various specialties, including Emergency Room, Neurotrauma, and Labor and Delivery. Her journey into nursing began with a minor in Nutrition, which sparked her interest in the field and eventually led her to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

    Bridget's professional life is complemented by her personal passions and commitments. She is a devoted mother to three energetic boys and has been a loving wife for 21 years. Her faith plays a central role in her life, guiding her both personally and professionally.

    Outside of her nursing career, Bridget enjoys staying active and adventurous. She is an avid CrossFit enthusiast and finds joy in camping, dirt bike riding, and traveling with her family. Bridget’s vibrant spirit and dedication to her work and family make her a remarkable individual in both her personal and professional spheres.
